My First Post - Losing my Blogger Virginity

Well here I am, my first blog - Should I be aiming for sheer brilliance to captivate an audience with my first post? Should I keep it short and sweet to ensure that this often malfunctioning cyber space that I am using will actually work correctly for once before pouring out my feelings to find I clicked delete by accident ? Will anyone actually even bother reading this when there is a mass million of other blogs and postings to muse over?
Answers on a postcard c/o Blogging Virgin September 22nd 2010. It's only a one day offer as come tomorrow I will be a novice to this world but will have popped my blogging cherry so to speak.
